Greetings!

I have Navisworks Freedom 2013 with the installation file Autodesk_Freedom_2013_64bit.exe.

I am using Windows 7 Professional 64bit with 8Gigs RAM and 500Gigs Seagate Hard Drive. This Unit only

Has a single user account so I am sure this account has administrative property rights.

The system cannot open the device or file specified.

C:Users 1.RSSAppDataLocalTemp.AI51F6.tmpx86NAVF REEfreedom.msi

OK

The setup begins after the file expansion process then this error prompts.

I tried upgrading the RAM to 16 Gigs but still the error displays.

Any idea regarding this error, please help me.

Hi Mykilau200,

    You can try to unregister and re-register the windows installer on your computer. The specific file that it can’t open is the installer for the program. You can follow these steps to Unregister and re-register Windows Installer:

  1. On the Search box type in cmd.
  2. Type in the following command and then press Enter at the end of each line:

MSIExec/ unregister

MSIExec /regserver

After doing so, check if your Windows installer has a status of started on the list of services by typing in the Search box Services.msi.
