I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. In the beginning, internet used to work fine, but it has stopped functioning since a few days. It gets connected to Wi-Fi, but the internet does not work. How can I resolve this?

This kind of problem generally arises when any new Anti-virus program gets installed which kind of accesses the firewall. If you have installed any new anti-virus software recently, try disabling it for some time. If the internet starts working, then you will have to change the firewall settings of the application.

If the internet still doesn’t start working, open the C drive and open the “temp” folder in it. Select and delete all the files in it. Then disconnect the internet and restart the computer. And then reconnect the internet. You will be able to access the web normally.
