hello James Belt..
first check the windows system requirements.. if your computer doesn't meet the requirements, it can happens..
or that happened because your windows didn't install clearly... check your ROM device, meybe there are some problems there, that cause the windows CD cannot copy all its components well..
maybe you can uninstall your windows 8, then try to re-install it..
thanks..
Hi,
You should setup your pc again or Update Frozen Windows 8
Five tips for dealing with a frozen Windows Setup
1: Be patient
2: Disable the floppy disk controller
3: Check your memory voltage
4: Try removing memory
5: Try using an IDE or a USB DVD drive
Generally if the system is stuck [and you will know when it is], reboot the system. Generally Windows will continue after where it got stuck.
[Check the logs to see where it caughed up a furball.]
Thanking you
