My QuickBooks Refused to Open

I restarted Windows 7 a few days ago and when it came back on Quickbooks it refused to open. The exe file is missing but there is a directory from another program. When I try to use the Windows disc to solve the problem Iget a "COM" not found error.

The program would appear as if it is going to open before crashing, when trying to reinstall the following comes up. When I direct it to the correct file that is when the problem occurs.

ActSage.exe – Bad Image

C:WindowsMicrosoft.NETFrameworkv2.0.50727mscorwks.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for the support.

Please, any help would be appreciated.

Try to register the file first For you to solve this one you need to run virus scan, after that. Run registry repair or registry cleaner, try to use CCleaner, then restart your computer then see if the error still there. If that didn't solve your problem, locate the mscorwks.dll. Right click it, then select properties, then click Security tab, then select your username then click the button edit then click the full control check box then click apply. After that you have now full access to that file then delete it.  But before you do that you may try also first to register that dll and see if it will fix the problem, To register .ddl just follow this steps.

1. Click start, the type cmd on search box then press enter.

2. Type regsvr32 "<path>name of dll file"(path is directory which the dll file is located)

3. Example regsvr32 "C:WindowsSystem32 mscorwks.dll"
