I own a Dell Inspiron 710m laptop. I just start working on my it and in no time it gets heated. What can be the reason?

It's been 10 years since I am using it.

Hi,

Excessive heat will do harm to your laptop including separate parts in it. So you should take necessary measures to get it cool. Check your components whether there is dust in / on it. You are using your laptop for a long time. It’s good. Dust stored on your motherboard and other cards and components will make your laptop heated. You must confirm heat sink on the components of your laptop. They should be attached to the desired position. If any of them loose accidentally will make your laptop heated. If found loose, attach them to the respective position of the motherboard, cards and components.

I hope you understand it.

Thanks.

I have also faced the same problem with my laptop.

But now I am now using a cooler for the laptop. But it doesn't help.

Now I am planning to get the lap to a service center for getting the dusts out of it.

The information was really helpful, because I thought that something was causing trouble.

Now I realize that it was dust.

Thanks Gabrielle.
