My Notebook battery taskbar disappeared

Hi,

I have an ASUS n61 notebook that has an Intel Core i5 520M processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 Graphics Card, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD and Windows OS 8. I recently performed disk cleanup and defrag. My taskbar now would not show the battery icon. Could I have deleted my notebook battery taskbar?

Hi Bennie S Easter,

Sometimes I was in trouble for this type of problem. Just try these steps I hope it will work.

At first go to Control Panel > Notification Area Icons > then just go to the battery icon if it is in the list and from Behaviors just click on show icon and notifications.

If this problem still persists then restart your PC.

Thank you.

Hi Bennie,

I think I will be able to help you solve the question in the best way possible. The battery icon doesn't disappear because of deletion but because of the cleanup and disk defragmentation.

You can simply make it to show the battery status icon by the following;

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> All Control Panel items -> Notification Icons -> System Icons.

Under the options, you will find the option for the system battery icon and you can click on it to display on the tray.

Notification Area Icon

You can choose it to display in the setting you want and finally save the settings.

Finally reboot your system.

The battery icons should now be able to be viewed in the system tray.

Windows 8

I hope this solves.

Thanks.
