My question is that I have an HP laptop with a wireless connection network card, and there's a WiFi modem at home , Whenever someone else uses internet at home; I start having difficulties connecting, and the internet connection problem troubleshooter says that there might be a broken network cable, How can I double check that?

You have to check your WiFi and modem range that your computer should not be more than 10 feet because the WiFi signal become week when you go far away from the range of the WiFi. When some else connect to modem the WiFi generates signal with more power.

You have to first check your power that the modem uses the desired voltage or not mean your power supply is ok with electricity. If yes then go to near to your modem and connect to your internet. And ask other to connect. If it was working correctly then you should decrease the distance from your modem.

Thanks
