My laptop getting stuck when idle

I have Aspire One AO751h laptop with Windows 7 operating system in it.

It was getting stuck frequently so I thought it might be because of the DVD drive as it was making some noise. But, even after that it is still freezing all of sudden and I got to reboot the system. Just after reboot it is working fine for 2 to 3 hours of active use. If I am not using then it is not getting freeze.

Is this a problem with virus? Can I check anything from task manager to figure out what is causing the issue?

Hi Daniel,

First take the back up of your hard drive as when system crashes you can loose your information.

1. This issue generally comes up due to faulty graphics card, Remove the graphics card and check whether the issue is resolved.

2. Open Power Options. Check if Hard disk option is never turned off.

3. Do a memory test for bad RAM portion. 

4. Even after this if issue persists. Format your hard disk.
