My laptop charger is plugged in but not charging. I plug in the power cable, but when I see the battery indicator, it shows "plugged in, not charging". Do you have any solution of this problem?

When this error massage (not detected the battery) in desktop icon is showing on the task bar, then unplug charger and hold down the power button for 10 seconds. While holding this, plug your charger back. After the logo of surface will appear, let the power button to go of . Then it will give the message ""plugged in, but not charging"". Repeat these steps and this will work eventually . And when it was reached at 45%, then I unplugged the charger and plugged the charger back in. After unplugging the charger and plugging the charger back in for several times, then this worked & it was charging very well. This is actually a matter involving plugging the charger in and then unplugging it in my experience.
Hopefully, this answer is helpful, easier and clearer steps to fix the problem.

Solution 1: Check whether your charger cord is worn out or has any dents in it. If it has any of these then probably you have to buy a new charger.

Solution 2: Unplug the charger from the socket wait for a few minutes and connect to another socket in another room. Sometimes your adapter may stop working for some time due to some issues with the power supply.
