If it only warms up but perform well then it’s a normal case, almost all electronic devices get warm while they operate but if it is not performing well , Its because of short circuit. You have to change you LAN card. Since LAN cards are not that expensive they are not supposed to be repaired at all. Buy new one to keep going.

My Lan card getting warm

All devices, machines and equipment gets warmed up when in used. Like TV, modem, LAN card gets warmed too. This is normal when you are using the device but gets to warmed up then it the possible problem is how the device are connected.

A good example here is cell phone better charger. Connects the charger to the power source but plug in a little big loose in the power adapter. You will notice that the better charger gets warmed and heat up so easily.

This the same applies to the LAN card, it the device is not plugged in at the right slots inside then it'll get warm up fast.

Redo again the LAN card inside and make sure it'll properly seated inside. Plug it correctly with no loose connection when you try to wiggle it. Check the power adapter of your computer and do the same thing, try to wiggle it and make sure it's not loose.

This should fix the problem but if not then the LAN is damaged.

My suggestion? A replacement.
