I constantly have to type in my iCloud password on my iPhone. It is really annoying me and I am looking for a solution. Even if I type it in, a minute or two later it will ask for it again. Any suggestions? Even when I hit ʺcancelʺ it still asks for my password. Thank you.

This issue normally happens if your iPhone originally runs on iOS 6 or it is previously using iOS 6 and you upgraded the operating system to iOS 8. In this case, you might be prompted frequently to enter your password and or sometimes it will ask you to verify your identity using the 2-step verification.

When this happens, you will see one of the following messages on your screen:

  • Sign in to iCloud.
  • Additional Verification Required.

To properly fix the problem, sign out of your account. After that, sign in back. To sign out or log out your account, go to Settings, iCloud, and then tap Sign Out. To sign in or log in back to your account, enter your Apple ID and password.
