My iPad2 cannot connect to Wi-Fi

My iPad2 cannot connect to Wi-Fi when I was in UK. A wireless connection was detected and I entered the correct Wi-Fi password but still, I cannot access the Internet. When I returned to the US, my iPad2 worked just fine using the same Wi-Fi router I used in UK. Any idea on what I have been missing? Thank you.

Do you have another network connection that you can use to test your Wi-Fi? Usually when we are unable to connect using a device, it will give us an error. The error will give us an idea as to what may be an issue. If it the generic ‘Unable to join the network’ error message, you may need to untick the option that says Turn Access Control. To turn it off, go to Wireless Settings > Click on Setup Access List > Uncheck Turn Access Control On > Click on Apply. You should be able to connect to wi-fi now using your iPad.

Hi HennyChan, I have read the issue with your iPad2 that can’t connect to a WIFI. I have encountered the same issue when I had mine also for connectivity problems. I have applied this work around for wireless connectivity for iPad’s. You have to reset your network settings in issues like this. Find the Settings button then look for the reset options. This works also when you start over again or restarting your iPad2. These options for the reset network settings will ask you for the password. Type the same password that you have used. This will fix the problem also when you travel again to UK.
