My iPad was working fine until yesterday when the screen suddenly turned black. I didn't drop it, neither did it crash with something nor does it have a scratch. I don't know what happened to it. I've tried to reboot it, but it won't start. What could be the problem?

Some of the apple ipad 2 users have faced this issue.  This is common for Ipad 1, 2 and 3.

First try charging the ipad for like an hour just to see if this resulted by a battery failure. If it does not help try the next step.

Try holding sleep and home buttons together for sometime. Try this method several times and you might be able to keep the ipad 2 running again. When holding, hold it for like 20- 30 seconds.

If you stll has the same problem go to your nearest apple repair center and get a solution.

Hello Roda,

This problem is getting common in iPad users. There is a simple and easy to do solution that will help you out. Just like the mobile phones have the reset combination keys, iPads also have the reset combination keys. You can reset your iPad by doing the following action:

1- Hold down the home buttons and sleep button together at least for 15 seconds, If the Apple logo appears it means you have successfully reset the iPad.

Another method you can apply.

2- Connect your iPad with computer.

3- Now open iTunes

4- Your device will appear and select Restore.

This will solve the issue.

Thanks

Hello Roda,

I talked about this problem with a friend who used to work in an apple store as an engineer. He told me do the restoring as the others told. That’s the easy way, but he preferred to do this in iTune and with an internet connection. If this do not work than only way to solve it is by installing a new IOS in that iPad. You can do it by yourself if you have an apple user account. Than try some little tutorials online and just follow the ways to initialize the installation process of new IOS.

Thank you,

 Riley Weaver.
