My hard disk is always noisy

The position of my computers hard disk is always noisy especially when i access the internet. could this be a sign of damage and what can be the remedy?

My hard disk is always noisy
IMO maxtor drives are quite noisy though the 5400rpm ones, One option might be to unplug the SATA cable from the internal drive and connect it to one of these external SATA hard drives which have their own power supply/small fan (and hopefully are quiet). Then unplug the power cable/fly lead to the internal HDD/HDD Fan.

At first you should check the joining part of data cable. If it doesn't work after applying this method you can use another hard disk in Liu of this HDD. If it work properly then you should change the affected HDD.
