Hello, I have a Facebook account and it was hacked and the person posted all sorts of links that I want to remove. Is there any way, other than deleting my account and starting over, that I can get rid of all of this? I really do not want to have all of this associated with my name. Thank you.

As the primary step, you can get more help from  FB help center and report about the compromised account and take additional steps in order to further prevent this unauthorized access.

In the meantime, you can increase the security level of your account by setting security questions and resetting a more strong password that is difficult to be guessed and is not used in any other account of yours.

Also you can do damage control and remove suspicious applications.
It is possible to recover your account back to normal by following the steps as shown in the images below and then following the instructions, if password and other information has been changed by the hacker.
