My disk storage firmware is not reading data nor is it even physically opening the drive. I checked the tool settings, which indicated that it should be functioning well and I even hoped that deleting then re-establishing the program that ran the device will solve the issue but I was not successful. Could it be a problem with physical parts of the firmware? Can you please help me on how to make my device work?

Hi,

This is the solution you can try to do. Follow the steps:

Stage 1.Please do all the below even if you have done this once before -
Go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Disk Storage Firmware > Double click the drive > Drivers tab > Click update drivers (this will likely do nothing) > Right click the drive > Uninstall > Reboot

Then you can install it again.

If the drive is not shown be sure that the cable between the drive and motherboard is connected properly.

Thanks.

You may got your right answer.
