Hallo Guys!

I have this new USB stick Safari which I have used for barely a month now. It had been working fine till yesterday when it refused to open in any of my computers. When I plug it in, I get the notification that the USB is not recognized. When I go to the device manager and try to update the drivers, I get the message that the drivers installed are already installed. What could be the problem with my USB stick? Thanks.

There is surly a hardware problem with your office computer and that’s why it is not showing your USB stick. I will ask you to insert it to another port, also check your USB supports USB 2.0 and make sure that the USB drive is enabled on the computer you are using. Check for any malware that can cause to stop this service.

Hi Heather,

There are many possible reasons for this situation. It's either your flash disk is really damaged, your computer is having a hard time detecting your USB, your USB port is damaged, or your USB driver is corrupted, and many more. Now, there's a simple workaround that can help you diagnose the problem. I don't know what operating system you're using but if you have Windows, these are the common steps you can follow: Go to Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Computer Management> Disk Management. You can see in there if your flash drive is detected but just not showing in My Computer. You can also right click on My Computer> Properties> Hardware> Device Manager. Under device manager, look for unknown devices or other devices with a question mark, If you're getting this result, this means the driver is corrupted. Also try inserting another USB stick on your USB port if it is detected, the problem could just be in there. The last resort would be to format your USB and see if it is detected back. I hope this works for you.
