My computer is too slow. I used FREE ANTIVIRUS to clean all the viruses and move all the viruses to vault but it makes no effect. It is still slow. I had add 1GB RAM also.

What should I do to make my computer fast?

Hi,

I understand what you want to say and its not a big issue or problem. No doubt you installed Antivirus to remove viruses because you thought that this thing happens because of virus. Yes, sometimes it happens but now the question is what if after deleting all of the Antivirus your computer is still slow. So there are two things which you have to do for boost your computer speed and these are written below:

  1. Some times Antivirus are the main cause of reducing the speed of computer. No doubt they are good software for deleting the virus or make our computer safe but if the Antivirus is big enough eg. Mcafee then they are mostly  create an issue of reducing the PC speed. So, first you can check your Antivirus if it is big enough then you can change it. Try AVG its not so heavy and don't create an affect on your computer speed.
  2. Another way to regain your computer speed is to defragment your hard drives simply . The process of defragment the drives is written below:
  • Click on Start menu
  • Click on All programs / programs.
  • Click on Accessories.
  • Then go to System tools.
  • Then press DISK DEFRAGMENTER.

So by this above process a window open in front of you names disk defragmenter and then click on your drives parts one by one and defragment it.

It surely works.

THANKS.

I will share with you five ways to make your computer run faster.

  1. Remove spyware, and help protect your computer from viruses; Spyware  collects personal information without letting you know and without asking for permission.  In addition to privacy concerns, spyware can hamper your computers performance. To combat spyware, you might want to consider using the PC safety scan from Windows Live OneCare. This scan is a free service that helps check for and remove viruses.
  2.  Free up disk space;  The Disk Cleanup tool helps you to free up space on your hard-disk to improve the performance of your computer. The tool identifies files that you can safely delete and then enables you to choose whether you want to delete some or all of the identified files.
  3. Speed up access to data;  Disk fragmentation slows the overall performance of your system. Disk defragmenter is a windows utility that consolidates fragmented files and folders on your computers hard disk so that each occupies a single space on your disk.
  4. Detect and repair disk errors;  You can check the integrity of the files stored on your hard disk by running the Error Checking utility. As you use your hard drive, it can develop bad sectors which slow down the hard disk performance. The error checking utility scans the hard drive for bad sectors.
  5. Upgrade to Windows
  6. If you try all the previous remedies and your computer still isn't as fast as you would like it to be, you may want to consider updating to Windows 7.
