Is it safe to turn off my firewall if my antivirus is on?

That is what I am thinking because whenever I wanted to download something my Firewall automatically blocks it .

I am wondering to turn off my firewall to download my favorite game. I have anti virus anyway.

But I am not sure if its safe.

Yes it’s safe to turn off Windows Firewall but be sure that your other firewall or antivirus is turned on. In most cases Windows Firewall will automatically block your downloads because your security software needs to configured. In your Windows task bar find the button for your security software. Then locate the internet browser where your favorite game is being blocked. Remove GameHouse from the Blocked List, then Close the Firewall Program. Please be sure that you only use the primary Firewall.

Another solution is that try to refresh the Internet Browser you are using. Or check your internet connection. There may be some problems with internet connection that blocks the download of your favorite game.

As we know that firewall is software or could be a hardware, this helps our computer to scan or check information coming from a network or internet, this depends on your settings in your firewall. It is safe to turn off your firewall as long as you have installed an anti-virus on your computer. If you don't trust your anti-virus software then, I would suggest that your turn on your firewall for protection against viruses or worms perhaps. The reason why your firewall automatically blocks your downloads is that your firewall does not work properly, you have to uninstall then install it again. Then try resetting your default settings on your firewall.
