My Avast in tray was lost

Hi experts,

I used Avast for protection on my computer. Lately, I was unable to see the Avast icon that usually spin in the system tray. I am only notified when my computer started that my Avast is working. How can I enable the Avast icon again from my System Tray?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Raymond,

Your Avast Icons must be set 'To Hide Icons & Notifications' on your System Tray. Right Click on the notification area of your Task Bar and select customize. Make sure that your Avast Icons are 'set' to show.If that's not the problem because there are no icons to be found then i suggest the fastest and the easiest solution is to repair Avast installation through Add/Remove program. Open Control Panel Click on Add or Remove Programs Locate Avast and select repair If this doesn't help, maybe you can try to reinstall Avast.

Hi Raymond,

You can try re-installing or repairing your anti-virus. But you should check first to make sure that your tray icon is not hidden:

1. Right click the window or start button.

2. Choose Properties.

3. Click the Taskbar tab

4. Click the Customize Button and check if your anti-virus is listed there as hidden.
