No, it is one of the limitation on your iPhone 4s it cannot edit or create Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, and PowerPoint presentations and documents. You may only be able to view this documents but you cant do anything much on this.
Well there is some good news there are some third party applications available in the Apple Apps store that can help you to create and open or even edit your Microsoft word, Microsoft excel and even your PowerPoint presentation through using this third party applications(apps). And another good news according to apple they say that Microsoft office documents editing is coming to iPhone really soon.
Here are the list of features supported in the Documents to go.
One you can view,edit and create native Microsoft word, Microsoft excel and Microsoft PowerPoint files and all its attachments.
Two it will support Microsoft word, Microsoft excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Three it will includes support for Microsoft office word 2007 and PowerPoint 2007 with full feature viewing and editing functions.
It will support file and attachments which can be received thru email, Bluetooth or media card. And the unique intact technologies that will retain the original files after editing.
