MS Office Communication Server 2007 problem

Could someone help me solve my problem on MS Office Communication Server 2007 or the MS Live Communications Server 2005 SP1? The thing is I used MS Live Communication Server (OCS) to transfer some files. It was very convenient that it only transfer files from federated users through firewall perfectly. Now, I am using the new MS Office Communication Server 2007. I observed that this new communication server doesn’t have the same file transferring feature like the previous one. The federated users can file transfer if only they will send something first to other users at the end of the firewall. I already checked and verified all firewall ports just to fix this but nothing changed. Am I using it the wrong way or is there something missing on the OCS Server?

Hallo Lawrence Carl Jones,

I will suggest that you check the firewall settings; maybe the firewall is blocking the connection of the new Microsoft communication server 2007, and therefore hindering the transfer of file as you need. Unblock any settings in the firewall that may be blocking the application and see if the files will be transferred thereafter.

Or it could be the configuration in the Microsoft communication server 2007 that is not allowing the transfer of files to take place, and therefore I will suggest that you check and see if the application is using the anonymous access feature and change it to group chat admin or group chat channel and see if that will solve the file transfer issues.

Hope this helps.
