Hi Friends, I have installed QuickTime in Mac OS X. I would like to know whether It is possible to export audio portion of MPEG1 for QuickTime. Will it be easier to perform editing functions like Cut, Copy, Paste, and Add Scaled with MPEG1 or 2 media using QuickTime Player

I've read your post. I've answer to help you.
Firstly, Bad news but it is true that you can not export audio portion of MPEG1 for QuickTime by Quick Time Player. And you also can not perform any task like Cut, Copy, Paste, and Add Scaled with MPEG1 or 2 media using QuickTime Player.
Even you can not do these in latest Quick Time version or Quick Time Pro.
Secondly, Good news is that you can do all these task easily with third party software's. There are many software's like Divx or for flv files you can use perian etc.
