Hi Friend,

Here is a problem I face when trying to play Dream. I get an mpeg 2 error yet I have the K-Lite mega codec pack installed on my computer which contains the mpeg 2 codec. The link given in the error window did not help me to find a fix for this issue. I downloaded the InstalledCodec.exe, ran it and it only enabled the microsoft codecs but this would still not solve my problem. Also my DeskScapes is installed properly. Please can help me with a fix for this issue? I have exhausted all my possibilities. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.Regards

The dream may contain an invalid video type or a compatible MPEG-2

video decoder may not be present. Please visit here for more

Sometimes installing different media players on the computer helps because it installs different video codec on the computer. So if you have an application that requires a specific codec, the codec available from the media players can be used and you no longer need to download and install that codec anymore because it is already provided by your media player.

Video converters are also good providers of video codec because they need it primarily for the video conversion. If your program can’t find a decent MPEG2 video decoder on your system then installing other media players and video conversion tools will help. One of the third-party media players you can try is VLC media player.

It is a cross-platform media player supporting Windows, Mac, Linux, and other operating systems such as FreeBSD, Solaris, and others. Download the latest version, VLC media player 2.1.3. Another program that provides me a good source of different video codec is ImTOO MPEG Encoder. Download it from ImTOO MPEG Encoder Family. See image.
