All my MP3 files have been converted to .EXE. I think this is due to some virus but I’m scared that when I run Anti-virus, the MP3s will be gone. Is there a way to rename these files?

This happens almost every time because of a virus.
MediaControl.exe is widely spread virus which renames media files in to different extensions.
In order to remove this virus you can do as follows
1.      Open task manager and click on processes tab, the find the MediaControl.exe and end it process
2.      Press (winkey + R) when the run opens, type msconfig in there and press enter . then click on the startup tab, there you can uncheck mediacontrol.exe , if it is there.

Also using a good antivirus software wouldn’t delete your files. Hence it will quarantine the files and recover them quickly.
