Mouse frequently freezes and I’ve tried troubleshooting

My mouse frequently freezes when I use it, and I've tried the typical troubleshooting techniques, changing the batteries (wireless), cleaning it, etc., but it just isn't working. I just bought it so I didn't think it was broken but I suppose I am going to have to replace it. Any other suggestions on what to do before I purchase a new one? Thanks.

Hello,

In some cases, this issue occurs if the mouse consumes heavy energy and is connected with a USB port. In order to fix it, you can do the followings.

1. From the Start menu, type “Device Manager” >> hit Enter.

2. Expand “Universal Serial Bus controllers”.

3. Double-click on each >> under “Power Management” tab, uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” >> click “OK”.

This trouble happens usually when you use mouse after a long time, for example, 15-20 minutes. The best solution is to avoid this issue as it just flashes the mouse connection.

But if this problem happens quite often, you should change your mouse or get a new one.
