Every time you connect your mobile phone on to your computer, be sure that your phone’s software is already installed on your machine. This will enable your computer to recognize your phone when it is inserted on the USB port. Connecting your phone to your computer without installing first its software will result in an unrecognized device or an unknown device error. This is because the device inserted can’t be recognized by the machine. It requires a program to identify the device.

Check first if you haven’t installed yet your phone’s software on to your computer. If this is true then just install the phone’s application to your computer. The application usually comes with your phone when you bought it and is contained on a CD. You should also check if the software is compatible with your computer’s operating system. If not then you need to find or download a different version that works with your operating system.
