The bug fix for the Motorola Droid 2 Smartphone has already been released in 2012. If you haven’t check for an update until now, I guess it is time for you to update your phone’s firmware. If you received a notification for this update, just tap “Yes, I’m in” to begin the downloading of the software update. Once the downloading is complete, tap “Install now”.

When the installation is complete, your phone will restart automatically. But in case you didn’t receive a notification regarding the update, just update your phone manually. Tap or go to “Settings”, “About phone”, and then “System updates”. From there, tap “Yes, I’m in” to start downloading the update then just follow the same steps. Note: before updating your phone, make sure your device is fully charged.

Here are some of the features brought by the update:

  • Reduced or decreased “Out of Memory” errors.
  • Fixed possible device resets when you are playing music.
  • The modified camera settings will now be saved even after the phone is turned off.
  • Fixed the problem where the phone may suddenly power on without user interaction.
  • Added a Google Security Patch to enhance security level.
