Facebook immediately added three new safety features for its mobile users, but more likely than not, you'll have to tap the mobile site instead of your apps to use them.

Among them are tweaks to login approval codes, more control over questionable content in your news feed, and account recovery.

Login approval code link

If you have an Android phone, you can now get login approval codes through the Facebook app instead of via text message. The code refreshes every 30 seconds. Facebook said it's running on increasing this to other devices. If you have an iPhone or other non-Android cell phone, you can still get the codes via text.

Ahead of, it was only on a PC that you could flag unfortunate or undesirable content that came your way through the News Feed. Now you can hide or report any questionable content on the mobile site too. It's not yet in the apps, but, again, Facebook says it's working on that.

And previous year, Facebook debuted options to help people whose accounts were compromised get them back. This was previously limited to the main site. Now Facebook has expanded this and its social authentication tool to work on mobile devices.

Thank you

When Facebook said that they’ll going to be providing mobile security updates, they didn’t mean that you’ll going to install the updates on your phone manually. When they said that, they are actually referring to the latest Facebook app. What they mean is the latest Facebook app that will be released will contain all the necessary security updates for your phone.

All security holes that were discovered or vulnerable will be patched. You don’t actually need to search for the security update they are saying. You simply need to wait for the release of their latest app and install it on your phone. If you are using an Android device, visit Facebook App on Google Play. For users with iOS device, visit Facebook App on iTunes.

The app was updated on iTunes on May 12, 2016 while the Android version was updated on May 23, 2016. This latest version provides enhancements on speed and reliability.
