iPhone gives a feature  called a "TV out" function. This feature allows your iPhone to display its images on a flat screen. But to use this function you must have appropriate iPhone TV out cable.
You can connect your iPhone to a TV by following these steps:
First of all Turn off your iPhone and TV. Now plug one end of iPhone cable into the iPhone and other into the TV. Then turn on your iPhone and tap on the "Settings" application from the home screen. Tap "Video Settings" to open video options of your iPhone and then tap on "TV Out" option and enable the option on the next menu. Now turn on your flat screen and change it to the input into which your iPhone is plugged.
