My Mac came with a test CD and I cannot locate it. Is there any other way to find this, purchase a new one, or complete the same thing without having the disk? I'm trying to troubleshoot and realized I cannot find it. Tips, suggestions please. Thanks for your assistance on this matter.

Yes of course, it is quite possible to troubleshoot & perform the Apple Hardware Tests without the Apple test CDs.

First, check if there is a recovery partition (by pressing alt at boot chime).Â

If yes, then you can use the partition & perform Apple Hardware Test from Apple.com.

If no, you can use another Mac with an optical drive so that you can copy the Applications Install Disc through SD cards, USB flash drives, and external hard drives etc. Then, by using the "Restore" feature in Disk Utility, restore the Applications Install Disc onto an SD card, USB flash drive or external HD. After having thus restored the DVD image to another disk, from the AHT partition, you can startup by holding "D" key at boot (together with the disk connected).
