Hi all,

While trying to install Microsoft security essentials I found the error message “0×80070643″ Installation encountered a problem.

Tried Symantec Endpoint Protection too and got the error.

VMware Product Installation

The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation

So I’m sure that another antivirus was installed in the system lack of my knowledge. My search to find out of the trace of any antivirus installed in the system went failed.

Any idea may I wish? Thanks.

Hello Jhon Anderson,

Thanks for sharing your problem with us, this error occurs if a software is not completely uninstalled and you are trying to install that program again. To solve this problem download the CCleaner and install it and scan your computer with it after fixing all the problem restart your computer.

Another way is to restore a system to previous date. After restoring your system install Microsoft security essentials again. Link to download the CCleaner:
