I have heard that Microsoft’s Surface Tablet specifications will be released soon but how true is the rumor that it that it will come with WiFi only and with no mobile connection?

It is not a rumor that Microsoft's Surface Tablet will come with WiFi only. It is directly told by Microsoft to the media. Microsoft mentioned that the Surface Table might be only WiFi. Hence there might not be any mobile phone network connection in the first model which is yet to be released. This feature might be included in the later versions. This is the reason that the expectation that the Surface Tablet will compete the Apples iPad might turn to be incorrect in case of its first release.
But anyways, if there is mobile phone network included in its first release itself, no doubt that it would give a good competition to Apple's market.
