When I opened my Microsoft PowerPoint presentation through my flash drive an error message appeared. When I copy my presentation to my PC and opened it the same error message occurred. Is it possible for me to recover again my file?

Hello!

It would help a lot if you can also provide more information like what operating system you have installed (XP, Vista or 7) and what Microsoft office version you have (2003, 2007 or 2010). The cause for this is that your “D:” drive is a removable device (USB flash drive, floppy, etc.) and you removed the storage device so there is no media in the “D:” when that application is started. I would suggest that you run Microsoft Office Diagnostics. You can do this by: Start button > all programs> Microsoft office > Microsoft Office Tools > click Microsoft Office Diagnostics > click continue then click “Run Diagnostics.”

You can also try removing Mxdwdui.BUD (C: WindowsSystem32spooldriversx643mxdwdui.bud for 64-bit and C:Windowssystem32spooldriversw32x863mxdwdui.bud for 32-bit). You would need Admin rights to do this. Just back up your files as well to be sure you don’t lose anything valuable.
