Hi all,

When I opened outlook to send emails, I encountered this error message “Task" server name – Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800ccc0f): 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact the server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)”.

I can’t access any PST file and send emails. I am new to outlook so I have no idea why this happens and what to do to fix. If somebody can give me helpful suggestions, please do. Is there any software that I could download on the net to fix this? I really need it so much. Thank you!

Hi,

The Ox000cccOB is a common error in outlook express especially if you are new. Ox000cccOB is an error that appears only when sending emails. This error happens because your email provider does not allow messages to be sent via SMTP with server authentication. You can fix this by following this simple steps.

1. From outlook express, navigate to Tools> accounts.

2. Select the accounts that encounters the error from the list and then click Properties.

3. Navigate to the servers tab> check" my server requires authentication" box under outgoing mail server then click OK.

4. Try sending again if it is OK, Don't forget to write your account name and password and click apply.

If Not sending, 1. Restart your computer > check outlook my email client SMTP My Server Requires Authentication box. If the data is accurate and correct and temporarily disable anti virus.
