Microsoft Outlook 2011 – 550 error

I purchased a replacement computer, which is an HP Pavillion P6641f with an AMD 925 Quad Core Processor, with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2011 Pro installed in it. I frequently use Outlook for schedule and meeting functions, so I want it to be working just fine. Unfortunately, though, it's giving me problems.

The problem happens whenever I make an effort to "answer back" to or "forward" an email. I receive the following error report:
"The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

The addressee's email alias shown here on 24/03/2011 3:23 PM.
Server error: '550 #5.1.0 Address rejected.

I have tried a number of solutions to resolve this problem, but nothing works. I have already confirmed and rechecked the address, and it seems to be accurate. I have also rewritten the address with no alias, but this doesn't seem to work, too.

I have also tried attaching the email to an extrovert email, but the same problem keeps popping up. Please give me a solution to this problem. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi Megriggs,

Here are some steps to solve this problem:

1. Before we begin make sure that the recipient’s mailbox is not or He didn’t make any security settings on it.

2. Another way is simply change the Email type in Email properties. Choose SMTP instead.

3. If you are using Ms Exchange server, kindly change it to TAS Book. Exchange serve applied a new security that is affecting Outlook. Download TAS book

4. Make sure that the email of the recipient is authenticated.

5. The mail server is blocking any email address delivery.

6. Corrupted email directory. Instead of choosing the email in outlook, type it manually.

Hi,

Nothing is wrong with your new computer. You have shifted to new better option. You are receiving your emails correctly that’s why you are facing problem in replying or forwarding these messages. Since Ms Outlook 2011 pro is new product and you are not familiar with it. Follow these steps:

  1. Check your outgoing email settings. Check Authentication tab and enter you SSL and TLS settings correctly.
  1. Your Contacts are not ready to be used as Address Book. So check this box so that you can send emails to your contacts.
  1. You can automatically add your typed addresses to your address book. Just check this box.
