Hello,

Recently, I got the following error message when I uninstalled McAfee and installed Norton 360 and attempted to open Outlook. What is the problem?

How can I uninstall the add-in properly so that I may run my program?

I would appreciate your help.

Thanks.

The Add-in McAfee Anti-Spam

Microsoft Office Outlook

The Add-in “McAfee Anti-Spam”

(c:PROGRA~2mcafeemskmskolplg.dll) cannot be loaded and has been disabled by Outlook.

Please contact the Add-in manufacturer for an update.

If no update is available, please uninstall the Add-in.

You will need to delete the file extend.dat in the profile’s outlook data storage folder.

On Drive C, open Documents and settings folder, select you profile i.e. user1,

(You may need to show hidden folders by going to Tools, Folder Options, View on the Hidden Files and Folders select the Show Hidden Files and Folders option) to get the tools option in win 7 press the Alt key when in explorer

In the user directory go to Application Data in WINXP or Appdata in WIN 7

Go to Microsoft then Outlook. Delete the file extend.dat

The file location will be like

C:Documents and Settingsuser1Application DataMicrosoftOutlook in WINXP or

C:Usersuser1AppDataMicrosoftOutlook in WIN 7
