Microsoft Office 2010 Service Pack 1 installation looking for the disk on disk drive.

In the middle of the installation process of Microsoft Office 2010 Service Pack 1, an error occurred and seeking for a disk on a disk drive. I put some disk on my drive thinking that the installation wizard copied some on the disk for feature use.

But doing this does not solve the problem. I have also inserted the Microsoft Office 2010 installation CD, but my optical drive but still doesn’t proceed on installation.

How do I figure this problem?

Hi,

I think you are trying to install a version of Microsoft Office which is not a full version.

Full version of Microsoft Windows does not create this type of problem. Try to find a DVD of Microsoft office 2010 and install from there because it has full version of Microsoft Office 2010.

Also you can download it from the internet. Go to this link.

Here you will find full version of this software. Download it from here and install it. It will take some price.

Other way is to install Office 2007 or 2011. I know these versions well. T

hey are similar to 2011 and they will not create this type of problem.

It can happen for different reasons.

  • Your CD/DVD might have some data missing. Sometimes missing data can create this kind of problem. You can get rid of it by using the CD/DVD that contains full data and contest. You can buy original CD/DVD for your PC of the latest version of Microsoft Office 2010.

The new version of the Microsoft Office is creating this kind of problem. You can use the old ones. They are more reliable than the new versions. So, I'm suggesting you to buy a new one or use older versions.

This always occurs when you are installing various software to your system, therefore, the CD you are using might be corrupt. Secondly, try to look for a different version to solve your problems. Or you may try to format the whole of your system in order to remove some obstacle files.

All I have to advice you is to also delete all unwanted programs just by formatting your computer and re-installing new programs again.
