My Microsoft Office 2010 won't support the upgrade from its pre-release version or old version. And when I uninstall the older version, it still has the same error.

Is there any way to solve this problem? An image was attach for this question hope it helps.

Hello Leonard,

You are getting that error because Microsoft Office 2010 is not compatible with the version that you have on your computer and therefore the update you are trying to make will not work. What you will need to bypass that issue is the following:

  • On your computer, go to the Control Panel, and then locate Programs and Features and click on it.
  • Under Add and Remove Programs, look for Microsoft Office and uninstall it.
  • Go to the programs files under C: and delete all the files associated with Microsoft Office.
  • After that, carry out a clean installation of Microsoft Office 2010 application.
