Hi,

Microsoft Office 2010 has encountered a problem. Have a look at the error message below.

As per direction of the error message, I installed the 2010 Office System Driver Data Connectivity Component.

Nevertheless, the same problem remains unchanged.

Mentionable that the current configuration of my operating system is Windows 7 64-bit.

Failed to read Excel data: The ‘Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0’
provider is not registered on the local machine.

Install the 2010 Office System Driver Data Connectivity Component:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255

Or install the 2007 Office System Driver Data Connectivity Component:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=2374

However, I found the same problem recovered after installing the 2010 Office System Driver Data Connectivity Component on 32-bit system. If you have any idea regarding the issue, please help.

Thanks in advance.

The cause for the error shown above is DLL (Dynamic Link Library) mentioned in the error must be registered on the system. This DLL is installed with Microsoft Office 2007 and later it is must to install 64-bit edition of MS Office when installed on a server.

There are two methods to resolve this issue.

  •  Install MS Office 2007 64-bit or later 64-bit version of MS Office.
  •  Alternately Microsoft provides an executable that will install the needed files without the need to install MS Office.

The following link will take you to the download location:  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255.

If download location becomes unavailable the name of the file is AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe and could be searched on Microsoft's download site.

Hope this helps you better.
