Michael P Sheehy,

In order to use Urdu language in Microsoft 2007, you have to download the respective language pack and install it.

The pack can be downloaded from here.

After downloading the pack, double click on the exe file downloaded, and install it on the default path.

After installation, navigate to the following file:

C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft sharedOFFICE12LCIDLIPread.htm and read the instructions contained in the folder.

In order to use the LP, click on start- all programs-Microsoft office- Microsoft office 2007 tools-Microsoft office 2007 language preferences.

(I am sorry, I have 2010 installed, BUT you will see the 2007 version in your tools.)

Now set your language preferences to have Urdu included.

In order to use this language pack you have to resort to the Urdu keyboard layout too;

Download the same from: Path.

Furthermore, you can have a free tutorial on the below YouTube video.

Regards,

Rogers

Why don´t you try to install the Urdu fonts for MS OFFICE

Here's the link for installing Urdu Fonts for MS OFFICE: My Windows Zone: Writing Urdu in Microsoft Office (Original Nastaleeq)

And download the Urdu Fonts

Once downloaded extract the Zip file

Enter to the extracted location and copy the entire content

And paste it in C:WINDOWSFonts
