Hi guys,

I have a project that needed to be typed on word so I installed Office 2003 on Windows Vista. However, I couldn’t complete the installation as it was interrupted by an internal error from the setup. I quit the process again but on same spot I got the same error. It is attached below. Any advice on this?

Error 2711. An internal error has occurred. (EXELNonBootFiles) contact your Information Technology department for assistance.

Hi Fred

I recommend you to download Windows Installer Clean Up Utility 2.5.0.1. For some reason the maybe the system registry is damage or corrupted. Since you're using Microsoft Windows installer you may experience various problem. Especially if you perform to install/uninstall a program.

After installation of Windows Installer Clean Up, run the program and select the files you want to remove.

This do not require for a system reboot. You do not need to reboot after removing a file.

Looking at the picture above i guess excel is the problem. During the installation process uncheck excel. Then the rest let them be.
