Hello DBA’s,

Currently I am working in a project that calls the Microsoft Access database table. But this error is not allowing me to do the connection. I am getting this error in 64 bit Microsoft Vista version. I already setup the drivers during the installation, but why I am getting this error? How to reinstall it now? Please guide me, thanks.

Microsoft ODBC Administrator

From your problem it seems that your application is 64-bit so you should use 64-bit ODBC driver regardless of database platform architecture. Check that the name used for connecting for ODBC driver that you have configured in your ODBC data source is correct with which you want to connect with your database. Also, check that the required database specific client software has been installed. Have you added the database client software directory to your SYSTEM environment variable PATH HTH ? Or, re-register your odbcconf.dll  i.e. (running "regsvr32 odbcconf.dll" at c:windowssystem32) .
