Microsoft announced the three Windows 8 editions namely: Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro, and Windows RT.
Among the three editions, will you elaborate to me what are the differences of the three Windows?
Which one is perfect for web-connected apps?
Microsoft Introduces 3 Windows 8 Editions
Microsoft announced that its new windows release will be available in three editions; these three editions are Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro, and Windows RT.
Windows 8 is supposed to be the successor of Windows 7 in its Basic and Home Premium editions.
Windows 8 Pro is the successor of both Windows 7 Professional edition windows 7 Ultimate edition.
However,Windows RT will be available only on ARM hardware as pre-installed OS.
Windows 8 and Windows RT have almost the same feature, whereas Windows RT includes in Extra: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote preinstalled and includes full-device encryption. For its side Windows 8 supports existing x86 and x64 applications, Storage Spaces, and a pre-equipped with Windows Media Player.
Finally Windows 8 Pro adds support for BitLocker, Group Policy, domain membership, Hyper-V virtualization.
For Web connected apps, Windows 8 Pro should be the more suitable.
