Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 – SRS Reports Deployment Error

It is well known that the time GP2010 R2 is released into the market, it was working quite well till the time they have released the May Release (2011).

Talking about current scenario, I was about to install GP2010 R2 on my laptop though it starts generating me awkward error messages I’m really worried which.

I have also attached its screen shot pasted as follow.

You do not have security access to the location where you want the reports to be deployed.

Reason: I am running SQL Server 2008 R2 Express. For some reason, SRS deployment do not recognize SQL Server Express editions and it requires either Standard or Enterprise.

So let me inform the ones who are going to deploy SRS on SQL Server 2008 SR Express, please do not waste your time.

Thank you so much for sharing this information. I never knew SRS deployment does not recognize SQL Server Express editions. The fact that it requires Standard or Enterprise editions only isn't comforting. Something should be done about this such that it should run with SQL server express editions as this will make it to be more universally acceptable.
