Hi Professionals,

The Microsoft Access 2010 download went pretty well and good without having any problem. But the problem triggered when I try to run the setup. For your information I do not have any previous versions in the computer I do not understand why this is creating a problem. Do I need to configure before the installation? Please assist me to resolve this error. Thanks a lot.

Hello,

This error can be solved by following these simple steps.

Firstly, try this Microsoft Fixit. It contains all the necessary data to troubleshoot your issue and make the installation perfect.

If you have got any antivirus or firewall program installed, disable them. They might be blocking the installation process so this error has popped up.

Also, check that the service “Windows Modules Installer” is enabled. From Start menu, type “services.msc”, hit Enter, scroll down to “Windows Modules Installer”. Double-click on it, select “Startup type” to “Manual” and press “OK”. Now run the installer again.

For more troubleshooting, you can visit this Microsoft KB.
