Hi experts,

Why am I getting this Warning message? I have searched online for the solution but there is nothing to resolve this error. I need an expert’s suggestion to fix the following application error. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello,

This is not a standard windows error, therefore this could easily be a virus, or other malware caused error. This can be resolved by scanning your system with antivirus software, or by reinstalling your application.

The "Not My Fault" message is not a part of an actual error, however, it is not malware either. It is one of the so-called "joke programs", which Symantec glossary defines as "Programs that change or interrupt the normal behavior of your computer to create a general distraction or nuisance".

The meaning behind the message is an inside joke amongst software engineers and a reference to the fact that nothing they do or say is straightforward, hence instead of saying "Not my fault", a software engineer will write a joke program which displays the message "Application has reported a ‘Not My Fault’ in module KRNL.EXE in line 0200:103F".
