Hello friends,

I am sharing here my experience about using Windows Live Messenger, I encountered an error while sending my email, below is the screen shot of the error message.

Send Message Error

Sending of message failed.

The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server smtp.service.ohio-state.edu failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connection. Please verify that your SMTP server settings are correct and try again, or contact the server administrator.

I meet this error message just today when I am about to send an email to my friend. Since this message is too important, I need to solve this problem in order for me to send this email. I already tried all possibilities in solving this problem from checking my internet connection to reinstalling the application, but it did not solve the problem at all. Please help me with this problem.

Thanks.

Reset your POP and SMTP, ask your ISP to help you configure POP and SMTP settings.  Clean registry and optimize your browser using Reginout Cleaner.

Hope it would help you. Thanks.

To resolve this issue contact your ISP service provider. To send or receive messages through a LAN, additional ISP or DSL and similar connection devices through MSN, the SMTP server settings must be set to secure. MSN e-mail server settings for a LAN, DSL or third-party connection must be set to secure.smtp.email.msn.com.

I think this may help you to resolve your problem.
