Hi Everybody,

I tried to send a video clip (20 seconds) On my BlackBerry via Multimedia Message Service But I found an error message appearing to me :

Message content size exceeds
limit

I don’t know why this message appears, in spite of sending clip of 20 seconds and its size is 500 KB
and lately I received a video clip via Multimedia Message Service from my friend that is larger than this video

I want to know the reason of this error.

I cleared the message center of my phone and all my message history, but I still receiving the same error.

Any help?

Thanks.

To Martin:

Have you tried powercycling your Blackberry phone? All you have to do is just turn it off, remove the battery for at least 3 minutes. Place the battery back on the phone and then turn it on. If this will not work, still have the same error message, check with your carrier technical support to know what is the limit in sending MMS. Generally it is:

2G network: 100kb max
3G network: 300-500kb max

You can also transfer the video to your computer, edit it so that it will not be too large and then transfer it back to your phone. You'll need a software for this. But since you didn't specify the model of your Blackberry phone, go to the website and try to download the software that can make you edit your pics and videos. You can also send it through email, just attach it to the message you're about to send. The recipient can just save it on his/her phone. This way you can be sure that it will be sent successfully.

Hi

SMS messaging and MMS can vary depending on your wireless provider.Otherwise you can go into Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Press the menu button > select register now. Then wait a few minutes and then restart your device by removing / reinserting battery.Once the device restarts try sending another MMS.

Thanks.
