Wishing to all. I have a micro SD 1GB memory card for my mobile device. Original capacity was 970MB. But now its shows not more than 32MB. And all of files are corrupted. I can’t make any format . Any recovery tool can’t recover my data. So I am in big trouble. My memory card is damaged or it can make ok. Please anyone advice me.

There are some software that are available for download, to help you check if your memory card and its contents are still salvageable such as CardRecovery, or Undelete 360, or MiniTool Power Data Recovery, or Recuva, or other similar recovery programs.

Since the conventional way of formatting didn't work, you could try formatting the memory card using the command prompt or CMD of your computer. Formatting a drive or memory card in this case is a lot more efficient and trustworthy as in a lot of cases when the conventional way of formatting a drive or memory card doesn't work, computer technicians refer to this option.

Hope this helps.

Are you trying to format the SD card from the mobile phone? If that is the case then that is why you are unable to format the SD card. I will therefore suggest that you do the following:

  • You will need to get a memory card reader device and then pug in the SD card.
  • You will then connect the memory card reader to the computer like a USB device.
  • And then use right click on the SD card once it has been detected.
  • And then click on format.
  • You will need to use the Quick Format option.

That should indeed help you format the SD card.
